In a bizarre turn of events, a homeless person has reportedly walked into a house and started living there.
According to neighbors, the individual, who has not been identified, was spotted walking into the house late at night and has since been seen coming and going from the property.
“It’s really strange,” said neighbor Julie Cullen. “We didn’t know that this was an option for those afflicted with homelessness.”
The situation has raised concerns about security and safety in the neighborhood, with some residents worried that the homeless person could be a danger to themselves or others.
However, the individual in question insists that they are simply looking for a place to call home. “I didn’t mean to cause any trouble,” they said in a statement. “I just needed somewhere to sleep, so I got a job and rented this place from a landlord.”
Local authorities are currently investigating the situation and trying to determine how the homeless person gained access to the property. In the meantime, the individual has become something of a local celebrity, with many residents expressing sympathy for their plight and offering support.
“It’s a sad situation” said local California resident Tom Milton. “I guess the benefits and food stamps were not enough to support him long term, we have to find away to convince the city to provide more income to these poor individuals”
As for the house itself, it remains unclear what will happen to it in the wake of this strange turn of events. Some neighbors have suggested that it should be donated to the homeless person as a form of charity, while others have called for increased rent to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
One thing is for sure, however: this is a situation that no one in this California neighborhood ever expected to find themselves in.
